My first published piece – to Matador Abroad on balancing study and travel
In an extremely gratifying turn of events mere days after listing them among my top five markets for aspiring travel writers, the Matador Network have picked up my very first paid, published, piece of writing. That private Caribbean island is looking closer by the second!
So, please drop by to read a revised version of my guide to balancing long-term travel with distance education, comment, tweet, share the facebook love, do all those wonderful things that would just totally make my day.

Hi! I found your blog through your article on Matador Abroad. (Congrats on getting published, btw!)
I think it’s great that you are doing so much – opening a hostel, studying at uni and doing the Matador writing program – all while traveling! Would it be OK if I added your blog under links on my blog?
Cheers,
Alaina

Thanks Alaina – keeps me out of the nightclubs at the very least!
I would be thrilled if you’d add my link, I was just having a little snoop over at your blog as well and plan to do the same. Good luck with the move home and the bucket list!
