Because all the cool kids are doing it
So, customarily one would begin a travel blog at the start of a trip, rather than three months into a five month wander around Latin America. But I’m coming to the end of three and a half break-neck weeks with Sara (wittily recounted on her own blog here) and as she’s heading back to real life, or as closely as hers can approximate it – family tour through tropical paradises then moving to London – somebody must continue documenting the south american madness.
And so here I am, spilling my thoughts into cyberspace, hoping to organise my own memories and hopefully provide a smidgen of entertainment along the way. Although given past attempts to record my exploits through facebook notes this may fizzle out very quickly.
Starting with a slight whimper, because the last week in Lima we have fallen in a heap and failed to accumulate many wonderfully interesting travel tales, and also a cigarette and beer to celebrate my first blog post calls…
